Sunrise at Taylors Falls

I know sunrise is really early to wake up for, but WOW! Sunrise can lead to some awesome photos. When people think of “golden hour” they are often talking about the hour before sunset, BUT the hour after the sunrise can also lead to perfect lighting.

I always remind clients how you cannot control the weather or what a sunrise or sunset will look like, but the timing is our best shot to create great photos in outdoor lighting. Last year, I posted photos of Ruthie’s sunrise senior session over a lake, but now I want to show you Owen’s sunrise senior session at Taylors Falls. These sunrise sessions were on back to back days and we had different types of lighting at the same time of day in the same season, but both session’s photos turned out beautiful.
