November Engagement Session
Last year at this time, I photographed Sharon and Jacob’s engagement session; their wedding was scheduled for this summer.
First, engagement sessions are included in your wedding package is because it’s a great way for us to meet, and allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. I love being able to meet my clients, chat about life and wedding planning, and allow couples to get a feel for how I pose, communicate, edit, and deliver photos before the big day.
Second, one of the common questions I get asked is if couples should do their engagement photos in the same season as their wedding photos. This is dependent on a lot of factors, but the two main ones are:
When are you getting engaged in comparison to when you have your wedding? Sometimes it won’t work to have photos in the same season a year a part because couples get engaged in the summer, but plan to get married right away that winter!
How similar do you want your engagement photos and wedding photos to look? Obviously they will look different based on outfits and locations depend, but having only summer photos or only winter photos can give a similar vibe!
The following blog post will show photos of Sharon and Jacob at their Minnesota engagement session in November, whereas next weeks blog post will be focused on their wedding day that happened in July.
