It’s Time to Propose

It’s hard to describe how many photos I take, how overwhelming busy season is, and the behind-the-scenes work that takes place for photographers; so yes, I recognize the following events (proposal, engagement, and wedding) all took place in 2023, but this incredible couple and these gorgeous photos deserve a permanent place on my blog.

Burke and my husband used to be co-workers, so when Burke reached out to me saying he wanted to propose to his then-girlfriend-now-wife, Joy, I was absolutely honored and elated to do the job!

When my husband and I got engaged back in 2016, having a proposal photographer was becoming a newer thing and we didn’t have anyone capture our special moment. While our moment was so incredibly special, I do wish we had some photos beyond the selfies we took on my blurry iPhone 6.

If I have any advice for those about to get engaged, it would be to hire a photographer. It doesn’t have to become a big thing or full session, but to capture the surprise, the effort, and a few sweet photos after just becoming engaged is so precious.
