Extended Family Photos

The time to do your extended family photos is right now! It’s so easy to never have those large family photos with grandparents and cousins, but those are also some of people’s most treasured photos. Even as a photographer, the last time my dad’s side of the family was all together was a year and a half ago for my grandparent’s 60th anniversary. We absolutely did a photoshoot then! On the flip side, I couldn’t tell you the last time everyone on my mom’s side was together; we definitely need updated photos with my grandparents.

One of the great things about this session was it was a surprise birthday gift from the kids to the grandma. They told her they had something scheduled for a specific date and this is what she needed to wear; then on her actual birthday, they revealed the scheduled activity to be a photoshoot in the morning and lunch together after! What a thoughtful idea (and your sign to purchase a photoshoot for your wife, mom, or grandma!).
